Xiwei (Sherry) ChenFunder

Holds a Master of Education from the University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Arts from Sichuan University. She started at a very young age to take dance classes in Chongqing Youth Palace and continued to train with Chongqing Opera & Dance Theater. The level of instructions from the training and years of stage experience developed her into a well loved performer, choreographer, and teacher.

Lili Tang (Liliya Philips)Director and Teacher

Graduated from Guangdong Xinghai Conservatory of Music (广东省星海音乐学院舞蹈专业), majored in dance. She had won a lot of awards including the Gold Award at Chinese Dancers Association 2008 dance competition (2008 中国舞蹈家协会德艺双馨舞蹈大赛金奖. Liliya has years of teaching experience.

Megan Durell SuttonTeacher

Megan Durell Sutton teaches ballet, contemporary and acrobatic arts; improving technique, theory and an overall greater understanding of the body through movement. Megan earned her degree in dance at Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a member of professional dance companies. Her passion for dance found her teaching students for years, winning several regional and national titles for best choreography, innovative ideas, choreography and more.

Aimee KellerTeaching Assistant

Born in Hunan, Aimee has lived in Texas for almost 15 years. Dancing since age four, Aimee enjoys many types of dance , including ballet ,contemporary, and Chinese. Her favorite dance is Classical Chinese dance. Aimee is part of a dance competition team, and has won many awards in both solo and group categories. Aimee loves to come along side of other dancers and help them to achieve their goals. Embodying grace and beauty both inside and out, Aimee is a great addition as a teaching assistant for April Rain Chinese Dance family.
